!! Fall Taiko Classes begin the week of August 29, 2010 !!

Tomodachi Daiko offers beginning taiko classes for adults (13+ years) on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., starting September 1, 2010.  All classes are held in the gymnasium at Sand Lake Elementary School on Jewel Lake Road. (Please wear comfortable clothing for this activity.  New students are required to purchase bachi (drum sticks) which are available at class.)

There are two taiko class sessions offered each year - fall and spring.  Each 12 class session requires registration and payment of class fees.  Registration is held the first day of class of each session.  New students are permitted to join class in the spring session only with instructor approval as lessons are cumulative and rely heavily on skills gained during the fall. 

All students are also members of Tomodachi Daiko, our non-profit organization.  The annual membership fee ($15/individual $30/family) is collected each fall.  Membership fees are used for equipment acquisition and maintenance but also for performance attire, promotional costs, insurance, instructor fees, workshop expense and this website.
